Deanta doors are manufactured utilising the best of traditional techniques and the latest in technology to bring to you a door unrivalled in quality, longevity and appearance. Our doors are constructed in a traditional manner using dowel joinery. The stiles (sides) and rails (top and bottom) of Deanta door are constructed using cross laminated finger jointed solid lengths of Douglas Fir which is an extremely hard and tough wood which have been clamped and glued together. This robust core provides great strength and rigidity.

This solid core is over laid with a thick veneer of grade A timber to produce a door which is as appealing as a solid door, yet which has been engineered to produce a door that easily out performs a solid door.

Where our doors have panelling, the panels are constructed using an MDF core, covered with a layer of real wood veneer. This use of materials allows for precision construction, structural integrity and a finish second to none.

Once the panels, rails and stiles are constructed, they are bored with dowel joints and glued. Each door then is fitted with 1.2 cm solid wood lip to allow for planning during the fitting process. The door is then assembled by hand and cold pressed under an extremely high pressure. Once the door has been manufactured it is typically sanded to an open grain finish and three coats of our trademark satin varnish.
